Matthew 28:19-20..... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.Amen.
Christmas day 2006 God called me to preach the Gospel of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I have answered that call and I've dedicated the remainder of my natural life to serving Him.
My wife Julia and I have both submitted to the call God has on our lives as we continue to prepare for this wonderful journey we are on.
A little about my background. I was born in Jamestown, Tennessee in 1954 my parents were Eugene and Jonell Mullinix both are now deceased. I attended church as a young boy and I accepted the Lord at 13 years of age.
I was attending a revival meeting at a small rural church near my home. I attended 2 or 3 nights
and I felt the Holy Spirit drawing me to accept Jesus. On about the fourth night I couldn't resist any longer and I let go of the back of the pew in front of me, stood up,
went to the altar and gave my life to Jesus.
A few years later I got out of fellowship with God and was in a backslidden condition for several years. God then began to deal with me and my wife
and we were lead by the Holy Spirit back to God's presence. I have never looked back!
I worked for approximately 24 years in small market radio in and around Fentress County, Tennessee. In 2002 God began to deal with me about running for public office and after much prayer and meditation I ran for
the office of County Executive of Fentress County and was elected to this office. I can't begin to explain how I felt on election night as I heard the election results coming in, the people of Fentress County were giving
me a chance to serve them and God was presenting an opportunity to serve Him through serving His people. I was humbled. In 2006 I was re-elected to this office where I continue to serve at this time with my current
term to expire August 31, 2010. I will not seek another term as God has now called me to a much higher calling, to Preach the Gospel!
June 3, 2006 our life took a tragic turn that has affected our lives forever. That Saturday evening my 27 year old daughter Kimberly and my 4 year old granddaughter Sarah were brutally murdered in Cumberland County, Tennessee
in a parking lot of a Church. My 6 year old granddaughter Karon witnessed the murders and would probably have been killed but the killer ran out of shells. We were absolutely devastated. That night, for the first time in my life I felt I had absolutely no control about anything. I was totally drained. I wanted to lay down and die.
God gave me a choice at this time to lean on Him, to trust Him, to put all my faith in Him. He showed me that He was all that I had and He alone could help me through this tragedy.
My wife Julia and I at approximately 1:30 AM in the hospital parking lot in Crossville, Tn. held hands, lifted them into the air and dedicated our lives to serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Since that time many things have happened, God has called me to preach, He has shown me to spend the remainder of my elected term working hard as County Executive and to also prepare for His calling.
I'm excited about what God is doing and is going to do. I've preached in several area churches of all denominations and God has shown me to take the Gospel to all people. We live in a late hour
and I believe Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready to meet our Lord? Have you taste the Living Water-that only Jesus can give, where you will never thirst again?
We have walked through fire during this tragedy but Jesus walked with us. He has never left us and said He never would. He keeps impressing on our hearts to just "Trust Him." We do, He's all we have, He's all we need!
God has called me to share my testimony and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I would love to visit in your Church or community and share what God has done in our life. There are many across this nation
that are hurt, that have turned from God, that need to hear this message. I urge you, He is the only way-there are no alternatives. Thank you God for all you've done in my life, thank you for walking with me through fire,
thank you for loving me so much that you gave your Son for me!
